CINNAMON LEAF ESSENTIAL OIL
With its distinct sweet and spicy aroma, Cinnamon Leaf Essential Oil is a natural botanical extract gaining popularity in personal care and wellness formulations.
Derived from the leaves of the Cinnamomum tree through steam distillation, this oil offers a softer, more balanced profile compared to Cinnamon Bark Oil. While both come from the same plant, Cinnamon Leaf Oil is typically higher in eugenol, a naturally occurring compound known for its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties (in contrast to Cinnamon Bark Oil and its higher levels of cinnamaldehyde – creating a stronger in aroma and skin-sensitising effects).
Cinnamon has a rich history dating back thousands of years, used across ancient Chinese, Egyptian and Roman cultures for its aromatic and medicinal value. Today, Cinnamon Leaf Essential Oil is valued for its ability to support circulation, ease muscle discomfort and promote a sense of warmth and relaxation.
In modern applications, it is widely used in aromatherapy for its mood-lifting and grounding qualities, as well as in massage blends where its gentle warming effect can help soothe tired muscles and joints. Its natural antibacterial and antifungal properties also make it a useful addition to skincare, hair care and home cleaning products.
