CAJEPUT ESSENTIAL OIL

With a fresh, camphoraceous, and slightly sweet aroma, Cajeput Essential Oil is a powerful natural remedy valued in aromatherapy, personal care and holistic wellness applications.

Traditionally used throughout Australia and Southeast Asia, Cajeput Oil is steam distilled from the leaves of the Melaleuca cajuputi tree. Its clear, lightweight consistency and distinctive woodsy-herbal scent come from naturally occurring constituents, particularly 1,8-cineole, which contribute to its antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.

Often mistaken for Tea Tree yet milder in aroma, Cajeput Essential Oil is especially valued for supporting clear breathing, easing muscular discomfort, and promoting scalp and skin health. It’s also prized for its cleansing, soothing, and revitalising qualities and has become a popular ingredient in personal care products such as balms, massage blends, scalp treatments and soaps.

When properly diluted, it makes a versatile addition to wellness formulations - from pain-relief creams and cold-care blends to invigorating aromatherapy products designed to refresh the senses and restore balance.

  • Rich in 1,8-cineole, Cajeput Essential Oil contains natural decongestant and expectorant properties, helping to loosen and clear mucus during colds and seasonal illness.
  • When diffused or inhaled, Cajeput Oil is traditionally used to support clear breathing and respiratory comfort, making it a valued ingredient in cold-care and congestion blends.
  • The warming and stimulating properties of Cajeput Essential Oil make it a popular choice for easing muscular discomfort, joint soreness and tension in massage blends and pain-relief products.
  • Known for its antiseptic, antibacterial and antifungal activity, Cajeput Oil may help support skin and scalp health when used in properly diluted topical formulations.
  • The naturally high level of 1,8-cineole, a monoterpene oxide, gives Cajeput Essential Oil its distinctive aroma and many of its cleansing, analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Used in personal care products, Cajeput Essential Oil is said to help revitalise the senses, promote mental clarity and support overall wellbeing with its fresh, camphoraceous scent.
  • Cajeput Essential Oil has also been traditionally used to help deter insects, making it a useful addition to outdoor and summer blends.
