SPEARMINT ESSENTIAL OIL

Bright, uplifting Spearmint Essential Oil has a soft minty charm and a long list of natural benefits.

It’s well-known for its incredibly crisp, refreshing, and subtly sweet aroma - in fact, it is commonly likened to Peppermint Essential Oil but sweeter – yet Spearmint Oil offers more than a beautiful aroma. Steam distilled from the leaves of the Mentha spicata plant, this oil is packed with natural constituents such as carvone, limonene, and menthol, along with powerful antioxidants. Together, these components give Spearmint Oil its soothing, cooling, and stimulating properties. - not to mention other wide-ranging benefits, from easing digestive discomfort and supporting mental clarity to instilling hormonal balance and headache relief. It’s also great for skincare, particularly for calming irritated skin.

Prized for its invigorating scent and gentle therapeutic touch, add Spearmint Oil to your DIY cosmetics for a natural freshness that lifts the senses, soothes the body, and supports overall balance.

  • Thanks to its high carvone content, Spearmint Oil has been seen to improve various digestive problems when diluted and applied topically, helping soothe indigestion, bloating, and nausea.
  • The refreshing scent of Spearmint, rich in limonene and menthol, has mild stimulating properties that may enhance alertness and concentration.
  • The natural menthol in Spearmint Oil also provides a gentle cooling sensation that can help ease tension headaches, muscle tightness, and feelings of overall stress.
  • Gentler on the skin than Peppermint Oil, the menthol in Spearmint can help soothe irritated skin, or assist with dermatitis and acne.
  • Mild decongestant properties in Spearmint may be useful in easing symptoms associated with colds, flu, fevers, sinusitis, bronchitis, asthma, dyspepsia, nausea and vomiting – including sea and travel sickness.
  • The carvone content in Spearmint Oil may help reduce excess androgen levels, making it potentially useful for women with hormonal imbalances such as PCOS.
  • Spearmint’s distinctive aroma has been shown to deter certain insects, making it useful in natural repellent blends.
