OAT OIL REFINED

Believed to originate in ancient China, the oat plant is now grown worldwide and is a much-loved energy source for millions of people and livestock. While often purchased in its seed kernel form to cook and consume as porridge, the plant contains many properties said to provide extensive health benefits and excels when cold-pressed into an oil.

Oat contains multiple Omegas, the unsaturated fatty acids essential for healthy body function. High in oleic and linoleic acids, and with extensive glycolipids and Vitamin E content, Oat Oil is highly nutritious and moisturising, great for skin rejuvenation. Together, these qualities make Oat Oil popular in the health, skincare and haircare industries.

Oat Oil, also known as Oat Seed Oil, is an ultra-light, non-comedogenic oil that absorbs quickly into the skin without clogging the pores. While it suits all skin types, it is thought to be particularly effective on dry skin and hair.

  • Strong antioxidant properties can help Oat Oil fight the signs of premature ageing caused by free radicals and harsh environmental factors. It works to help improve uneven skin tone and wrinkles, promoting rejuvenation and youthful skin.
  • High in Ceramides, Oat Seed Oil can help the skin to retain its natural moisture levels, firmness and elasticity while acting as a barrier against external factors, including UV rays.
  • Due to its Omega-6 and 9 contents, Oat Oil is said to moisturise and nourish hair strands, encouraging healthy growth and protecting against sun or hard water damage.
  • Oat Oil has also seen positive results when applied to irritated or inflamed skin, easing the symptoms of dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, and acne.
  • Its anti-inflammatory properties make Oat Oil perfect for massaging away body aches and pains.
