AWO's Pure Vanilla 5X extract boasts a rich, sweet, smooth and creamy aroma, typical of vanilla essence.

The number of folds (X) means the strength of the vanilla; the higher the fold, the higher the vanilla extract percentage and therefore has a thicker and stronger vanilla aroma. This 5 fold (5X) extract is a very highly concentrated vanilla and only the smallest amount is needed in your formulation.

As well as smelling amazing, did you know Vanilla extract also has an abundance of its own skin and hair care benefits? As such, it is very popular for use in personal care products such as body lotions, body butters, creams, hair masks and shampoos/conditioners, as well as a range of other products including massage oils, aromatherapy blends, soaps and candles.

Vanilla is highly rich in antioxidants that are excellent for their anti-aging properties and can help to soothe wrinkles & fine lines, heal damaged skin and reduce age spots. Vanilla is also beneficial for healing wounds and other skin complaints, and as an anti-inflammatory. Plus it is also known to be excellent in keeping hair soft and silky, as well as promoting hair growth.

Our Vanilla is sourced from a small island in the Vava’u Islands in Tonga. The plantation began an aid project after a cyclone, and has had a significant impact on the Tongan economy providing employment and infrastructure across a number of communities.
