BATANA OIL

Introducing Batana Oil, a deeply nourishing botanical oil with incredible benefits for hair and skin.

Extracted from the nuts of the American palm tree (Elaeis oleifera), pure cold-pressed Batana Oil has been used for centuries by the Miskito people of Honduras - also known as the “people of beautiful hair” - hence its now being referred to as Batana hair oil.

While this natural ingredient might be refered to as an oil, Batana Oil has a thick, dense and cream consistency (similar to softened Shea Butter). At room temperature, it appears semi-solid with a striking golden colour and smooth yet lumpy texture that melts easily upon contact with the skin.

Packed with essential nutrients, including oleic acid, linoleic acid, vitamin E, carotenoids, and powerful antioxidants, this rare oil is a natural remedy for strengthening hair and improving scalp health, although it is equally beneficial to skin.

Rich in essential fatty acids like Omega-3 and Omega-6, Batana Oil helps restore hair’s natural shine, reduces breakage, and protects against environmental damage. It also nourishes the skin by forming a moisture barrier, promoting elasticity, and supporting overall skin health. It’s little wonder this ancient beauty secret is now trending worldwide!

Use Batana Oil in your formulations or apply it directly to replenish, protect, and revitalise hair and skin.

  • Oleic acid deeply moisturises and strengthens hair, helping reduce breakage, while linoleic acid improves scalp hydration.
  • While there is no evidence to support Batana Oil for hair growth, its rich vitamin E component nourishes and restores hair follicles, helping to promote stronger, longer hair.
  • Batana Oil delivers essential nutrients and hydration for a smooth and nourished complexion, quickly absorbing into the skin without leaving a greasy residue.
  • Rich in antioxidants, Batana Oil protects the skin from environmental stressors, neutralising free radicals and reducing oxidative damage to foster a radiant, revitalised, youthful complexion.
  • Batana Oil helps promote collagen production, improving skin elasticity and firmness, diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles - perfect for anti-ageing.
  • Powerful anti-inflammatory properties in Batana Oil help calm irritated skin, reduce redness, and relieve discomfort caused by inflammation.
  • A rich fatty acid profile makes Batana Oil an ideal ingredient for lip balms, providing hydration and protection from environmental damage.
